Destiny and Battlefield Hardline Xbox Betas Get Launch Windows
There’s finally some good news following an antagonizing wait today as both Destiny and Battlefield Hardline Xbox Betas get launch windows. Gamers with the Microsoft consoles have been left a little in the cold following E3 as both the Alpha Build for Bungie’s hugely anticipated Destiny and a multiplayer beta for Battlefield Hardline were released exclusively for PlayStation 4 and/or PC.
Fans on the Xbox platforms will not be receiving the Destiny Alpha as expected, but will be eligible to receive the Beta if they’ve pre-ordered the game, albeit a little behind the PlayStation platform betas. The launch window for the Destiny Xbox Beta is Late July 2014. In comparison, thanks to a continuing deal between publisher Activision and Sony, the Beta will launch on the PlayStation platforms on July 17th, again for fans that have an eligible pre-order.

As for the Battlefield Hardline beta on the Xbox platforms, it will be a different beta to the PS4/PC beta that was released during and shortly after E3. The next beta will “showcase more” of the game say Visceral Games in an official blog post.
“The Battlefield Hardline beta was just a small portion of what is in store. We have plenty of new modes in the game that really play off the cop and criminal theme, as well as the return of fan-favorites. The variety in maps is also something that Battlefield fans have never experienced before, from subterranean grow labs to the streets of Miami, complete with all the vibe and flavor that city has to offer.”
The next Battlefield Hardline Beta will be open to all formats, including Xbox platforms, with no apparent launch exclusivity periods and will allow anyone who missed out on the E3 beta to apply again.
