Agents of SHIELD Spinoff Revealed?
Marvel is riding high with its series in many ways. Agents of SHIELD has rebounded from an uneven first season. Agent Carter (though not renewed…) was very much fan beloved. Daredevil is a clear hit. And of course, Avengers: Age of Ultron is coming to a theater near you very soon.
To add to all that, there have been rumors of other possible Marvel series coming to ABC. One of which is rumored to be a Kamala Khan led Ms. Marvel series. The other is allegedly meant to be an Agents of SHIELD spinoff; one that will apparently feature two of the new stars for the series.
According to Deadline, Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood are in talks to headline the Agents of SHIELD spinoff. Palicki plays Barbara “Bobbi” Morse, aka Mockingbird. While Blood plays Lance Hunter. On the series, these two are each others exes, but the fire is still there as the season has shown. Morse and Hunter are also some of the best additions to Season 2 of Agents of SHIELD and have given some much needed depth to the series that once had very shallow characters.
What’s interesting about this possibility is that Bobbi and Hunter aren’t on the best of terms right now. In fact, they’re kind of on opposite sides. This possible spinoff is said to be based on a storyline that happens later this season on Agents of SHIELD and will continue on the spinoff, so obviously something would need to happen for Bobbi and Hunter to work together.
Nothing is confirmed as of yet, but as they say, it’s all connected.
