Batman: The Killing Joke Teaser Surfaces Online
The first teaser video for the upcoming DC Animation release, Batman: The Killing Joke, has surfaced online. You can check out the new video in the player below. The new video features a look at the first footage for the film, which is based on one of the most renowned and acclaimed Batman stories in history.
It’s quite exciting this story is finally happening in animated form. It will feature Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill in their respective roles of Batman and The Joker, roles they are known for and are a part of the iconography. It seems quite appropriate they are playing those roles for this film. There was a bit of The Killing Joke material used for the Batman: Arkham video games, which they both worked on, but this is the first time they will be working on a proper adaptation of the story.
The footage so far looks promising. It looks like the character models and designs are borrowing heavily from the artwork and look of the comic, which is interesting. There’s also that shot of Joker with a demented look on his face and that trademark laugh, a classic piece of artwork for the character, that’s been brought to life in animated form. Batman: The Killing Joke is due out later this July.
