Call of Duty Black Ops III Multiplayer Beta Hits Xbox One
After the huge success that was the Call of Duty Black Ops III Multiplayer Beta for PlayStation 4, which had millions of players, Treyarch and Activision have now launched the multiplayer beta for Xbox One and Windows PC. The beta version launched today (August 28) along with new additions that are currently available on Xbox One and PC.
Besides the new features, Treyarch also confirmed that the level cap for the beta has been moved up to Level 34 and introduced the Stronghold map into the rotation. A new specialist character, the Reaper, has also been unlocked. In addition, you can check out a screenshot of the Reaper in the Stronghold map below. Here are the features for the Reaper:
- Specialist: Reaper
- Real Name: Experimental War Robot (EWR)
- Bio: Started as an expensive military R&D project to supplement Special Operations soldiers in the field, the EWR was a cutting-edge prototype combat robot, the most advanced in the world at the time. Budget overruns and embarrassing political incidents left the project all but a resource for scrap metal, except for the one prototype that remained.
- Weapon: Scythe – Robotic arm that transforms into a high power Mini-Gun.
- Ability: Psychosis – Infiltrate enemy DNI systems to simulate three decoy clones.
Treyarch also confirmed that the development team will be making tweaks to the Call of Duty Black Ops III Multiplayer Beta on Xbox One and PC over the next several days. Call of Duty Black Ops III arrives on November 6 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. Besides the new trailer, you can also check out some screenshots below for the new Specialist characters: Spectre and Battery.
