EA Believes Neo And Scorpio Good For Industry
Ever since Sony and Microsoft first revealed that they were working on updated versions of their current-generation consoles, EA has appeared to be incredibly supportive of the moves. They are continuing their vocal enthusiasm for the new hardware by confirming that their developers are working on content for both consoles.
Speaking to IGN, Peter Moore explained how there was “huge excitement the moment they were announced” and that “it extends console generations” so that traditional console launches may be eventually become a thing of the past. He also went on to state that the new hardware would not just be something to excite studios but also hardcore gamers who would be excited by being able to get their hands on the latest upgrades.
“I think Sony and Microsoft have done this incredibly well. They have taken what they needed to do whether it’s 4K… to keep the platform fresh for technology that’s moving faster than the archaic nature of a 10-year piece of hardware cycle,” he said.
