Game of Thrones Season 6 Directors Announced
Game of Thrones Season 06 is easily the most anticipated season of the series so far. Not only because of the (SPOILER ALERT!!!) “death” of key character Jon Snow, but also because this will the first full season that won’t have any connection to the books. Yes, George R.R. Martin has given the showrunners of the series an outline to guide them, but no longer will the “gospel” of the books be in play. After all, even if the book is finished this year, the season will already be underway in regards to filming. On that note, Entertainment Weekly has revealed the five directors who will be helming Season 6. Some are familiar names, but one is a big surprise that might intrigue fans. Here they are:
Jeremy Podeswa (Episodes 1 & 2) Previous Game of Thrones episodes directed: “Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken” and “Kill the Boy.” Credits include: Showtime’s Tudors and HBO’s Boardwalk Empire.
Daniel Sackheim (Episodes 3 & 4) Credits include: Associate producer of Miami Vice, director of Fox’s X-Files, Lie to Me and House, and recently, six episodes of FX’s The Americans.
Jack Bender (Episodes 5 & 6) Credits include: 38 episodes of ABC’s Lost, CBS’ Under the Dome, TNT’s The Last Ship, and Fox’s Alcatraz.
