Hannu the Hunter, a story driven shooting adventure from developer Halkologic Games, that tells a tale of unemployed hunter that gets hired by villagers in Mushoom Forest tormented by blood thirsty bunnies has been released on Android. But what could have caused the bunnies to turn so violent? As source of the evil is revealed with soap opera grade plot twists, Hannu gets pushed to an epic adventure around the kingdom. Hannu the Hunter is easy to learn and hard to master. Battle scenes consist of shooting mode where Hannu has to balance between shooting fast and not wasting ammo. Every now and then the battle is spiced with random events that let Hannu to choose between taking high risk for high reward or playing cautiously.
Exploration scenes allow Hannu to buy new equipment, talk with villagers discovering dialogue filled with black humor, and reveal the plot that is both tragic and hilarious. When gun powder is stocked and talks are over it’s time to face the creatures of the wilderness again. The developer – Halkologic Games – is smallish indie game studio located in Helsinki, the mobile game capital of the world. According to the developer, their mission is to create well balanced games that skill and tactics and bring something novel to their genre.
Fast paced battles are followed by calmer village scenes that let you upgrade your hunting gear and chat with the villagers. The plot is ridiculously dramatic like a soap opera and full of black humor. Prepare to meet weird, complex, and lovable characters and dive into world with rich history and backstories.
