Latest Clips for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Mid-Season Premiere
Marvel Entertainment has recently released two new clips for the upcoming mid-season premiere of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The latest videos for “Aftershocks” are available below.
The hit show finally continues coming off the gut-wrenching, nail-biting winter finale, where it was revealed that hacker-turned-agent Skye is in fact an Inhuman and the daughter of Dr. Calvin Zabo aka Mister Hyde. Skye, her real birth name is actually Daisy, underwent the Terrigenesis process when the coveted Diviner/Obelisk both S.H.I.E.L.D. and HYDRA were chasing after was returned to the hidden, underground city. The Diviner was in fact a holder of Terrigen Crystals. Once the crystals were placed in an ancient Inhuman temple, Terrigen Mists were released, causing both Skye and Raina, who were in the vicinity, to undergo Terrigenesis, a process that unlocks the powers of Inhumans. Unfortunately, the Mists were absorbed by Skye’s friend and comrade, Agent Antoine Triplett. The process petrified Triplett’s body, and after Skye emerged from her petrification shell, Triplett’s body crumbled to dust.
Episode 11 of season two, “Aftershocks,” will pick up after these events. In the first clip, Director Phil Coulson and Agent May prepare a transfer of ranking HYDRA leader, Sunil Bakshi. Unfortunately, the transfer does not go as planned, and it seems Coulson and May are put in peril by a deliberate car crash.
In the second clip, Marvel offers a look at how the rest of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are handling Coulson’s decision to transfer Bakshi. In addition, Mac and the others argue over what happened to Triplett. It seems Mac is placing the blame on Skye. The tensions and thick emotions clearly stress out Skye as her new powers are starting to act up.
“Aftershocks” premieres tomorrow (March 3) on ABC.
