LEGO Dimensions: New Gameplay Videos Showcase Portal and Doctor Who
LEGO Dimensions will essentially be LEGO’s answer to Amiibo, Skylanders and Disney Infinity. However, it will also feature a smash up of existing license properties across multiple genres and art forms. Case in point, the game will feature the likes of characters from The LEGO Movie, DC Comics, The Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, The Simpsons, Doctor Who, and now the Portal franchise. Warner Bros. Interactive and developer TT Games have released some new gameplay videos showcasing how the game incorporates settings and characters from the Portal and Doctor Who franchises. You can check out the gameplay videos showcasing the LEGO Portal and Doctor Who gameplay in the player below.
The LEGO Portal gameplay will feature the return of GLaDOS (Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System), the antagonist from the Portal game series. In the game, GLaDOS puts the heroes through multiple tests that can only be solved with the LEGO Toy Pad.
Fans can now team up characters they could only dream about in their imaginations or fan fiction, teaming up Batman with Doctor Who to take on the likes of threats like the Daleks and Cybermen. It looks like the Doctor is based on Peter Capaldi’s version, The Twelfth Doctor.
LEGO Dimensions is scheduled for a September 27 release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii U.
