Ludoria Launches On Steam Greenlight
Ludoria, an MMORPG currently being developed by Eminent Games, has launched on Steam Greenlight, getting a new trailer as well as a number of new screenshots in the process. According to Eminent Games, Ludoria tries to blend two game mechanics into a single place:
- Sandbox/survival elements where you can collect resources from the infinite world and build whatever your imagination strives for.
- On the other hand, you can capture any of the roaming monsters, train them, use their protection, and empower yourself with their special abilities.
Ludoria is also set to get a number of new features once the development cycle of the game is finished. These include:
- Smooth voxel world
- Infinite/random generation
- Different biomes, snow, canyon, forests, desert, oceans, lava…that affects Ludoroms spawning
- Cross platform
- Dedicated server application/ Multiplayer/ Coop
- Day/night cycle that affects Ludoroms spawning
- Skill tree/ Level system
- Randomly generated villages with battle arenas and shops
- Real time PVP and MVP
Each Ludorom (game character) is individually controllable as a character, with it’s unique skills set, stats, and abilities. You can level up your Ludorom to unlock more advanced skills. Some ground type Ludoroms will allow you to collect resources by breaking stones, chopping trees, digging into ground, and breaking things basically. Others will give you the ability to fly around the world freely, and some will open teleportation portals for you to instantly teleport to your village or house.
Describing the gameplay of Ludoria, Eminent Games have said:
“The gameplay mechanics in Ludoria are very intuitive. They are built upon the vision we had when playing sandbox games and RPG monster taming/capturing games. We always felt that sandbox, survival, and RPG games were missing the connection between the players and the creatures around them. So we decided to create a game where we combined the freedom of sandbox game building with creatures that you can tam and train to help you out along your journey.”
