Miiverse On Wii U To Be Redesigned Soon
Nintendo’s message board service and meme-spreader known as Miiverse has been disorganized since its inception. Usually you make a post, it drops down a hole and only two or three people see it. Maybe they comment on it. Then your post is buried under the pile of newer posts. Thankfully, they’ve been working on a fix. Nintendo has announced that Miiverse will be getting a redesign later this summer.
Sometime soon, you’ll open Miiverse and it’ll be divided into sections: Play Journals, Drawings, and Discussions. Comments on the game you’re playing will go into the Journals. Drawings will be the home of art created with the Miiverse drawing tools. Most importantly, now that there’s a place specifically for Discussions, users won’t be buried in memes and weird scribbles before they can get a single response.
Your Miiverse account is also getting a private section only you can access called “Screenshots.” If you take a good screenshot from a game, you can caption it and save it in an album. You’ll be able to preserve up to 100 of them at a time, which is a pretty low figure. There’s also the fact that if I capture a really good screenshot, I will more than likely choose to share it rather than keep it to myself. Don’t expect Screenshots to be used by many people.
Finally Nintendo will be increasing the number of posts a user can make in a day, to a limit of 30. I honestly had no idea there was a smaller limit before.
Nintendo wasn’t specific as to what day they plan to apply all these changes. We just know it’ll be sometime this summer.
