Pokemon Pillow Update: Now It’s Ditto’s Turn
Yesterday we brought you the news that ThinkGeek was producing their own version of the gigantic Snorlax beanbag pillow that previously could only be purchased in Japan. They must have gotten jealous over there, because Japan just announced another pillow, this one in the image of Ditto.
The Ditto is 24 inches wide and 25.5 inches tall, towering over two feet (the Snorlax is still bigger). It’s not the first Ditto product the Pokemon Center has sold, nor is it even the first Ditto pillow (that honor goes to Sleepy Ditto, which is smaller. No idea why they came out with the version that was asleep first). The convenient thing about Ditto is that it can take the form of any shape, leading to a wide variety of products.
Is it just me or does this woman look pained and depressed? As if she’s thinking “If only my 300-pound husband hadn’t left me! Now the closest thing I have is you.”
Ditto costs $127 when converted from yen to dollars. There is currently no American equivalent of the Ditto pillow, but it’s less expensive than the Snorlax one to have shipped. I should note that Sleepy Ditto already crossed over, so it might just be a matter of time.
