Rise of The Tomb Raider Gets Collector’s Edition
When Rise Of The Tomb Raider releases as a (temporary) XBox exclusive on November 10, there will also be a Collector’s Edition inside a faux-wooden box, for the hardcore Croft fanatics.
$150 gets you the following feelies: a Steelbook case for the game, a replica of Lara’s leather-bound in-game journal, a non-authentic facsimile of Lara’s jade necklace, and the item everyone is REALLY here for: a 12-inch intricate statuette of Lara, striking the same pose she’s in on the game’s cover.
A similar Collector’s Edition was released alongside the preceding Tomb Raider in 2013, and it also contained a statue, but this one is twice as large. (It’s fitting, then, that the cost is 50% more.)
Currently, you can only buy the Collector’s Edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider through Square-Enix’s official website, or the Tomb Raider Store. It will be released alongside the plain edition of the game on XBox machines November 10. A PC version will follow in early 2016 and then Playstation 4 owners will get one. No word on if they get a statue too.
