Russos Announced Officially For Infinity War, Plus, No Age of Ultron Post-Credits Sequence?
After weeks of rumors and speculation, Marvel confirmed today that Joe and Anthony Russo will be directing the next set of Avengers films, Infinity War Parts 1 & 2. This doesn’t come off as too big of a surprise, as the Russo’s were already praised for their work on Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and hype is already huge for their next Marvel film Captain America: Civil War.
The need for the directing swap came from Joss Whedon himself, who noted that after making Avengers and Age of Ultron, he needed to stop. So thus Marvel turned to their best people after Whedon, and that was obviously the Russos.
The next Avengers film is already slated for a May 4, 2018 release date.
But…that doesn’t mean we should take our eyes off of Age of Ultron. As is tradition, there will be a credits sequence after the immediate credits in the movie. But…according to Joss Whedon himself, there will be no post-credits sequence.
Confused? Well let’s put it like this. In Avengers, the mid-credits sequence was the one with Thanos, showing he was indeed in the MCU. The post-credits sequence was the Shawarma scene with the Avengers eating after the battle.
“And that’s not a fake-out,” Whedon added. “We want people to know so they don’t sit there for 10 minutes and then go, ‘Son of a bitch! I’ll kill them!'”
So there you go, the Whedon has spoken. Don’t wait for a post-credits sequence because there won’t be one!!!

Sounds like Joss Whedon is playing a jedi mind trick.
