Stephen Amell Teases Arrow Season 5 Villain
This upcoming Wednesday is the season 04 finale of Arrow. One of the more consistently good seasons in the shows history in this writers opinion. Majorly in part because of the villain Damien Darhk played by the amazing Neal McDonough.
With Darhk no doubt going down in the finale, all eyes are on hints of what the next “big bad” will be. Last season they teased Darhk’s arrival, we’ve had no such tease here. Stephen Amell though, who plays Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, does know who’s coming, for he told Variety:
“I’ve heard that our big bad, our villain, is something that you can really only do once you’re in the fifth, sixth or seventh season of a TV show. He also mentioned that: “As far as I know, they don’t have superpowers. I’ll tell you that.”
Amell also notes he looks forward to truly focusing back on Arrow full time, as the last few seasons he’s helped build the “Arrowverse” with the characters of Flash and Legends of Tomorrow basically debuting on Arrow. Next season though, that won’t happen…most likely:
“‘Supergirl’ is coming, but we don’t have to introduce a new show next year. In Season 2, it was the introduction of ‘The Flash’ and crossovers there, and last year there was a lot with ‘Legends of Tomorrow,’ and we don’t have to do that this year because ‘Supergirl’ is already established,” Amell said. “So I would like to focus on a lot of the stuff that I think ‘Arrow’ does very well.”
Arrow’s season finale hits the CW on Wednesday at 8/7c.
