Stranger Things Season 2 Announced by Netflix
The breakout hit show of 2016 that everyone’s talking about, Stranger Things, is coming back for another helping of episodes. Netflix officially announced today that season two of the breakout sci-fi show is in the works and revealed a teaser video, which you can check out below. The second season will debut on Netflix sometime next year.
Fans of the hit show will be happy to know that the adventures will continue very soon.
The show is a love letter to the supernatural classics of the 1980s. Season one follows the story of a young boy who vanishes into thin air. Police, friends and family search for answers, but they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving government experiments, supernatural forces and a very strange girl. The show stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton, and Matthew Modine.
Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer (Wayward Pines, Hidden) worked as writer, directors and co-showrunners for Stranger Things. They also serve as executive producers of the show alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen under the 21 Laps banner. Director Shawn Levy (Real Steel, Night at the Museum) also served as the director of two episodes.
Stranger Things Season 2 debuts on Netflix in 2017. All the episodes of season 2 will be available to stream at launch.
