Suicide Squad Has a Therapist Working on the Film
So, you might think this is a joke, but it’s not. The Suicide Squad movie if fully underway, and there’s already been some “weird” hijinx on set (see: Jared Leto mailing dead rats to everyon). To ensure everyone remains OK (probably given the dark nature of the film), director David Ayer hired a therapist to be on set, just in case someone needs it.
“We kind of have like a therapist on board if you fall off the wagon and really are villainous,” Slipknot actor Adam Beach told E Online. “There’s a friend of [Ayer’s] that’s very unique in making sure we have our ground.”
“Us actors explore very fine thin lines going to the dark side and he wants to make sure we finish a movie and don’t disappear somewhere and then don’t show up for work.”
The irony of the situation here is rich. This is a movie about villains. A lot of people are probably going to get killed or hurt in the film. There’s already a therapist named Harleen Quinzel, played by Margot Robbie, in the movie. It’s all there. But hey, better to be safe than sorry, right?
Suicide Squad is due out in theaters on August 6, 2016.
