Kodansha USA Partnering With INKR Digital Comics Service
American manga distributor Kodansha USA has announced it’s entering a partnership with INKR. If you’ve never heard of it, but assume it’s some new app, you’re right. INKR was created by a Vietnamese team working for a Singaporean company, and its aim is to do for manga what Netflix did for TV…a steady stream of content for a flat subscription rate. INKR just launched in October 2020, and Kodansha marks one of the biggest acquisitions in the young app’s two-month life so far. In addition to manga, INKR also distributes webtoons, manhua, and other comics through its service — it aims to stream in content from all over the world. The deal means INKR now carries over 400 manga volumes for reading, under respected titles like Attack on Titan, To Your Eternity, A Silent Voice, Your Lie in April, and more. Next week the app will be getting even more manga from Kodansha as it takes on Fire Force, Fairy Tail, and The Seven Deadly Sins. INKR has also landed
