Upcoming Season Of Archer Is Its Last
Notorious spy Sterling Archer is hanging up his suit and gun, FX revealed today. The animated series is coming back late this summer for a 14th season, but only to wrap things up. When Archer premiered on FX in 2009, it looked nothing like any other show on the air, with its pulp comic artstyle. That style would be shamelessly copied by other shows in the coming years, but none of the ripoffs lasted long. The show also turned actor H. Jon Benjamin into a voice acting superstar (it and Bob’s Burgers debuted within the same year). While most long-running animated shows change very little about their setting or situation, Archer went through some wild revisions to keep itself fresh.
