EA has revealed when The Last Jedi DLC will arrive for Star Wars Battlefront II following its release this week. The actual event will begin on December 5, with players asked to choose what side they want to be on, either the Resistance or the First Order, allowing them to unlock specific rewards up until December 13.
From that date, content will continue to unlock. There will be new heroes in the form of Phasma and Finn, as well as new maps, weapons, vehicles, and even additional chapters for the campaign that will see how the First Order first rose up and came to power. The downloadable content, like all other DLC for the game, will be free. Instead, EA are monetizing the post-game with loot crates.
Star Wars Battlefront II is EA and DICE’s sequel to their 2015 reboot of the franchise following their licensing of the rights to make Star Wars games from Disney. It will feature a campaign mode unlike its predecessor alongside the expansive multiplayer options. The game is set to launch worldwide on November 17.
Battlefield 1 changed the war game franchise in many ways. But, if you haven’t gotten the chance to play it yet, you might want to try it now, as EA and DICE revealed at Gamescom 2017 that Battlefield 1: Revolution has just released on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. This compilation of the title brings not only the base game, but all the content that has been released for it, and will include the upcoming content as well. Here’s the official synopsis and trailer for the game:
Battlefield 1 took a big risk by rewinding the clock and setting the game in World War I. But, it turned out for the best, as critics and fans have loved the fresh experience. As many features were coming to the Switch version of the game, and EA themselves noted that this version was custom built for the Switch.
While E3 technically hasn’t started yet, that didn’t stop Electronic Arts from unveiling a lot of games in a special event just before it, as well as going into detail about one of the most anticipated games of the the years in Star Wars Battlefront 2. DICE is once again taking us to a Galaxy Far, Far Away, but this time, there’s a story in it. At their special event, EA revealed a brand new trailer (see below) and new details on what to expect.
