The titles that are due to become available for free in June through the Games With Gold program. As is usual with the offer, Xbox Live Gold members will get access to four titles in total, two on the Xbox One and another two for the Xbox 360. The first Xbox One title is the racing game Speedrunners. It will be available throughout the entire month. Meanwhile, the second title is Ubisoft’s open world game Watch_Dogs, which will be free to download from June 16. The two Xbox 360 titles are Assassin’s Creed II and Dagon Age: Origins. Both games are backwards compatible. As an additional extra, downloadable content for the recently released freebie Phantom Dust will also become available from June 1.

In a move that really isn’t all that surprising, EA and BioWare have announced that their hit RPG Dragon Age: Inquisition will release in a Game of the Year edition that includes all previously released patches, updates and DLC.  Revealed in a brand new trailer (which can be seen below), the announcement says that it will be available from October 6 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The role-playing game has already received a collection of downloadable content packs since its release. The first was Jaws of Hakkon in March, which was followed by Dragonslayer, Spoils of the Avvar, The Descent and Trespasser. However, not all of those packs included new missions and story elements, some simply contained new items, weapons and armor or customization options and gameplay additions. Dragon Age: Inquisition originally began life as a multiplayer only game set in the Dragon Age universe according to executive producer Mark Darrah. In an interview with gamesindustry.biz, the developer spoke about how game only had online multiplayer aspects at the start of development but that the concept eventually evolved into becoming a full sequel to its predecessors. “Weirdly we actually had a project code-named Blackfoot which was the first game we had that was looking at Frostbite,” said Darrah. “It was a Dragon Age game, multiplayer only, that was in development before Dragon Age II came out. That became the core of what became Dragon Age Inquisition, the techlines, more than any of the development, so we’ve actually been looking at this a long time.” Darrah also went on to explain that the multiplayer in Dragon Age: Inquisition is not just some tacked on feature to please publisher EA or modern audiences, but more of a way of going back to what role-playing actually is – a social experience.

BioWare Tease New Title ‘Shadow Realms’ Ahead of their panel discussing Mass Effect at San Diego Comic Con, BioWare teased fans with this teaser video; httpvh://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32bLpcBoxT8 It’s definitely a teaser video for a new game; it seems unlikely to be related to existing BioWare IPs such as Mass Effect or Dragon Age. The video itself, titled “YOU’VE BEEN CHOSEN: Nightmare Teaser” looks to be predominantly live action filming with some visual effects included, if those are graphics shown in the video then this will be absolutely gorgeous! The video doesn’t give much away, showing a destroyed bedroom, a man running along what seems to be an infinitely looping entry and then reaching a car with another male inside. Interspersed between this are images of a man whose head has been replaced by black smoke, and someone with a hood up and no face, instead there’s a bright white light shining where the face should be.
