Grand Theft Auto V: Lindsay Lohan’s Lawsuit Dismissed
Business Insider reports that Lindsay Lohan’s lawsuit against Grand Theft Auto V has been thrown out. Previously, Lohan targeted Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive over the use of a character Lohan claims is an unauthorized use of her image. There was a blond actress character in the game who Lohan claims was ripping her off. Court documents reportedly stated, “The images are not of Lohan herself, but merely the avatar in the game that Lohan claims is a depiction of her.” Ultimately, the lawsuit was thrown out by the state of New York. The court ultimately ruled n favor of Rockstar since the game “never referred to Lohan by name or used her actual name in the video game, never used Lohan herself as an actor for the video game, and never used a photograph of Lohan.” As a result, the lawsuit has been dismissed.
