Godzilla met King Kong in 2021, and they at first didn’t like each other, but have learned to get along. According to the latest trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, that friendship turned out to be a good thing — looks like Earth would’ve been screwed without it. There’s a NEW monster approaching; one so formidable that both Godzilla and Kong must team up to defeat it. And even then, the combo of Godzilla’s breath and Kong’s punches might not be enough, so the humans have to help out any way they can. Despite this being Trailer #2 they still haven’t revealed what the new creature looks like. In the old days you’d have to actually see the movie to find out — but there’s probably at least one more trailer to go before then. It’s certainly a wilder sequel than what’s come before. Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures have released some new materials for the upcoming live-action adaptation of the Warcraft video game franchise. You can get the first look at the film’s version of Ogrim for the film along with the new logo below. Universal also confirmed that the film will now have a release of Friday, June 10, 2016. The upcoming film is a 3D epic adventure following a world-colliding conflict and is based on Blizzard Entertainment’s longtime, globally renowned video game franchise. The Legendary Pictures, Blizzard Entertainment and Atlas Entertainment Production is directed by Moon and Source Code filmmaker Duncan Jones from a script by Jones and Charles Leavitt. The cast boasts Travis Fimmel, Ben Foster, Paula Patton, Ben Schnetzer, Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Toby Kebbell, Robert Kazinsky, Clancy Brown, Anna Galvin, Daniel Wu.  Uh oh, it looks like Legendary Pictures is back to square one. It has been reported that Will Smith has decided to drop out of sci-fi movie Brilliance. The film is set to be directed by Julius Onah (The Girl is in Trouble, Big Man), and David Koepp (War of the Worlds, Jurassic Park, Spider-Man) is serving as the screenwriter. Noomi Rapace (Prometheus, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) is set to star in the Legendary Pictures adaptation. The American film production company is best known for churning out mega blockbusters such as Batman Begins, 300, The Dark Knight, Inception and Godzilla. I realize I posted something about the new “Godzilla” movie not that long ago. But I want to post something about it again. This is the big action movie I’m excited about for 2014, actually. First up, the impressive poster that was revealed at Yahoo! Movies. Godzilla looks huge. But that is nothing compared to the brand-new trailer that just got released. Observe: There’s two ways to play Godzilla. You play Godzilla straight or you play Godzilla as cheesy for all its worth. And if you’re going to play Godzilla straight, you better make Godzilla the most terrifying force of nature you can ever imagine. This movie looks to be playing Godzilla straight . . . but it is also looking like the movie will accomplish making Godzilla scary. Absolutely scary. There’s a sense of hopelessness in the trailer, this feeling of facing an unstoppable, borderline-invincible force, that that is chilling to the bone. Every bit of a movie theater’s resources look to be getting used up by this one.
