Myst being adapted into a TV series
According to entertainment site Variety, Legendary Entertainment have come to an agreement with developer Cyan to create a television series based on the hit adventure game Myst. Rand and Robyn Miller, the co-creators behind the game, will have a creative role overseeing the adaptation, meaning that the series will likely remain close to the story of Myst. The report also indicates that Legendary Entertainment have not yet decided how the series will be distributed, leaving the door open to a release through traditional TV sources or on digital platforms such as Netflix and Hulu. Myst originally launched in 1993 for PC to critical acclaim and was a large commercial success. The large fictional world and deep back story were particularly praised and it is these aspects that have probably led to the game being adapted into a television series.
