Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel gets new trailer

Take-Two Interactive has released a brand new trailer for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. The video, which can be seen above, is entitled Last Hope and introduces several new characters to the series as well as the now-famous Claptrap. As part of the latest announcement, it was revealed that the game will take advantage of new PC hardware. Those using high-end graphics cards will be able to experience much higher fidelity and performance, unlike other games in the franchise. The publisher has also released two behind the scenes videos showing how the game has been made. Part 1 of the documentary and Part 2 are both available on YouTube. There will be additional episodes made available in the future according to Take-Two. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is the latest game in the Borderlands series. A prequel was chosen as Gearbox did not have a suitable idea for making Borderlands 3 yet and they were aware that fans would want a sequel to be much bigger and better than its predecessor. Randy Pitchford Defends Aliens: CM, Claims It Was “Intent To Entertain” And Not Exploitation, Then Blames You For Not Understanding

There’s no denying that Aliens: Colonial Marines was a hot mess of a flop. From setting high expectations with an E3 demo showing, to literally scrapping everything about that demo and replacing it with a substandard product, it truly was a big let down for a title that claimed it would improve the overall Aliens canon. Now we thought that eventually we would hear what really happened, but of course no apology or explanation was forthcoming from either SEGA or Gearbox. And speaking about Gearbox, it’s very own head, Randy Pitchford, took to Twitter today to defend the title by saying it’s intent was to entertain and while that may be true from the creative standpoint, it certainly didn’t feel that way for the majority of players. Randy Pitchford denies Borderlands 3 speculation

Last month, in an animated interview with The Totally Rad Show, Borderlands’ lead writer Antony Burch made the mistake of saying that he already has ideas in mind for Borderlands 3. Predictably, this molehill has become Mount Everest since then, and a proportion of fans are convinced that a third instalment of the superlative FPSRPG series is in the works. Borrowing the words of Gearbox President, CEO and co-founder Randy Pitchford, “chill out internet”, because it’s not true.
