Could Remember Me Get A Sequel?
It is a well known fact that franchises in video games are hard to make. Mainly because it’s no guarantee how the game will be received, either by fans or critics. To fail means a loss of money, to succeed however could guarantee profit for a long time. Capcom recently took a stab at creating a new franchise with last year’s original title, Remember Me. Sadly, the game got a lukewarm reception, and sales weren’t the best. However, the developer, Dontnod, has stated that a sequel could still be made, if Capcom approves it that is. In fact, the developer is already prepped to make it. “We know what we would do for Remember Me 2,” said Dontnod creative director, Jean-Maxime Moris. “The main story has been written we know what we would add to the recipe. We know what we would fix. It’s a game that’s ready to be made, but that decision is Capcom’s to make.” The real question here is, “Should a sequel be made?” A more
