Is a Terminator TV Show Going To Happen If Genisys Is A Success?
Previously, there was a TV show based on the Terminator franchise called Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles. It didn’t have a long run, but it was loved by many fans to the extent that it remains a beloved part of the franchise. Many wanted it back after it was cancelled. With Terminator: Genisys coming to theaters this week, it’s not too big a surprise that some studios are considering a Terminator TV series to help build upon the (hopeful) momentum the franchise will have. Skydance (Skydance, not Skynet) CEO David Ellison spoke to Collider about the possibility of a new Terminator TV series: “It’s something that we’re developing as we speak. To speak kind of larger to that, one of the things we would love to do at Skydance—it’s a very lofty goal—is to build worlds across multiple mediums.
