EA is attempting to get more players hooked on Titanfall 2 by offering everyone the chance to try out the multiplayer modes in the game this week completely free of charge. According to the publisher, the trial will become available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One from December 2, while EA Access subscribers can play it from November 30. The unrestricted trial has no specific ending time, with the company stating that it will run for a “limited time” – though it will include everything in the full retail release, including the latest DLC and all game modes.  The official announcement post for the trial stated: “This will feature a full offering including all maps, modes, weapons and more including brand new content from Angel City’s Most Wanted DLC on December 3.” The move to offer a free go of the multiplayer comes at the same time as the latest DLC for the game is set to launch. The first piece of downloadable content for Titanfall 2 is due to be released next week. The Respawn Entertainment first-person shooter will receive an update on December 3, providing a number of fixes and additional content, including Angel City – a map that featured in its predecessor. However, anyone who pre-ordered the game will get special early access to the update from November 30, giving them a few extra days to play the map. As well as Angel City, the latest patch will also include a number of weapons for both pilots and titans alongside some temporary game modes with alternative rules compared to the standard offerings. Unlike many other shooters that have released in the past few months, Titanfall 2 does not have any sort of Season Pass for DLC. It looks like Titanfall is set to receive a new mobile video game. Titanfall: Frontline was officially revealed today by Nexon Entertainment and Respawn Entertainment and Particle City. Frontline is a new standalone mobile game set in the extended universe of the Titanfall franchise. It works as a strategy card game where players take the role of bridge Commanders, and they can face off in head-to-head combat with other players in real-time. Players have the opportunity to play in strategic combinations of powerful Pilots. Titans and tactical Burn Cards in an attempt to outmaneuver their opponents. It’s the first title in a multi-game, multi-game partnership with Nexon, Particle City and Respawn Entertainment to exclusively publish Titanfall mobile games. Respawn Developing Third Person Action Game

A Gamasutra (h/t via Gamespot) job posting has revealed that that Titanfall Respawn Entertainment is developing a second game project alongside Titanfall 2. What’s more? The game will be a third-person action game, unlike the first-person shooter style of the Titanfall series. Per the posting, Respawn is searching for a senior level designer and recruiting designers “for two game development projects–a new game in the Titanfall universe as well as a new 3rd person action/adventure IP.” In addition, the posting reads: “Respawn is seeking a Senior Level Designer to embrace and contribute to the project vision, breathing life into the gameplay world and helping define the moment to moment player experience.” It was previously revealed that the studio was developing a second game along with Titanfall 2 in December 2014. EA has today made available every piece of DLC for their hit first-person shooter Titanfall free to download. Players can now grab the extra content at no cost for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with the packs available to download separately or as part of the Season Pass. The full list of DLC includes the Expedition DLC, Frontier’s Edge DLC and the IMC Rising pack. Neither EA, Respawn Entertainment nor Microsoft have announced the apparent deal. Respawn Entertainment has announced Titanfall: IMC Rising, the third and final content pack for Titanfall. The DLC introduces three new maps for multiplayer, including Backwater, Zone 18, and Sandtrap. IMC Rising will be available sometime this fall for $9.99 on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Alternatively, you can purchase the Titanfall Season Pass which will cost $24.99. Titanfall’s second DLC pack, titled Frontier’s Edge, was released on July 31. Not only did it add new maps, it also came alongside an update that added an in-game store called the Black Market, new daily challenges, burn cards, and more. You can read more about it here.
