Dead Boy Detectives Launches On Netflix April 25
Get ready for the Dead Boy Detectives! Netflix has pegged an April 25 release date for the Sandman spinoff and released a new trailer that reveals more about the series. Charles Rowland and Edward Paine are dead boys who are also detectives. They perished decades apart, but after they met up as ghosts, thought “hey, we should be friends and possibly solve mysteries.” But how do you solve murders when you’re dead yourself? They find a conduit in Crystal Palace, a medium with a neat name who has the ability to see the boys and help them chase down crimes of the supernatural variety. If you can’t tell, Dead Boy Detectives is a wackier show than The Sandman. One-liners, pratfalls, quick edits and artsy camera angles abound. Not that it won’t get spooky from time to time, but you can think of this as The Lone Gunmen to Sandman’s X-Files. Hopefully it lasts a bit longer than that show did.
