Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Says E3 Briefing Will be 90 Minutes
Microsoft’s Xbox head Phil Spencer revealed some details for the upcoming Xbox Media Briefing at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. In answering a fan question on his Twitter account, Spencer revealed that the media briefing for Xbox this year will have a running time of 90 minutes long. You can check out Spencer’s tweets on the subject below.
What is more, Spencer also revealed that the Xbox show is currently running too long, and Microsoft is in the process of editing it down to meet the running time. According to Spencer, “We did a rough end to end run of show yesterday, still too long. I like the games we have in the show, not easy to edit down.” So it seems Xbox and Spencer are having trouble fitting in all the content and previews they want to show in that specific space of time for this year’s show. The media briefings are important since they basically set the tone for the company for the entire convention and perhaps even the rest of the year.
Among the new games to be shown at the briefing this year will include a new exclusive IP for Xbox. The Xbox Media Briefing for E3 2015 is set for Monday, June 15 and beings at 12:30 pm EST. The event will stream live on Xbox.com via the Xbox Live Events Player, on Xbox One or Xbox 360 consoles, and on Windows Phone globally. The full briefing will be broadcast live on Spike TV in the US and Canada.
