Our 10 Most Anticipated Games of 2015
As we near the end of the year, we look back at all the great games that came out, but we also prepare and anticipate for next year. 2014 had some amazing games, and it was even the first year for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Another year of gaming is here, and we’re going to list our top ten most anticipated games of 2015. Do note this list will only have games that have officially been revealed or announced and are projected to come out in 2015. Without further ado, let’s begin.
10. Dying Light

The survival horror title is looking to be the first major release of the year. Being developed by Techland, the developers behind Dead Island, we can see some similarties between the two series. Yes, Dying Light will have zombies, but it adds parkour free running which will make for a unique experience. Another feature will be the day-night cycle, which will have players hiding from zombies in the night.
9. Rise of the Tomb Raider

In 2013, we saw the Tomb Raider franchise rebooted. While the game was excellent, there was definitely room for improvement. Even though no details on gameplay have been revealed, just the thought of playing a new-gen Tomb Raider game has us excited. We hope Crystal Dynamics takes everything that was right with the reboot and improve on it. As of right now, Rise of the Tomb Raider is an Xbox exclusive, though that may change.
8. Quantum Break

Remedy Entertainment is best known for developing Max Payne and Alan Wake, but their next game will have you manipulating time. Quantum Break is a story-driven, third-person shooter set around Riverport University, where a failed time travel experiment goes horribly wrong. The protagonists are caught in the blast and are granted powers that give them the ability to manipulate time. Tied in with an on-going tv show, Quantum Break is shaping up to be one of the most innovative games of the year.
7. The Division

Another title to the Tom Clancy name, The Division is a MMO, third-person shooter RPG game set in New York. What makes it so unique is the online connectivity and how anyone can join your game while you’re playing the solo campaign. It’s one the few games that feel “next-gen”. The premise is interesting, the graphics look highly detailed and stunning, and gameplay mixes a variety of elements, all which should make for a fun and epic experience.
6. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Set in a dark fantasy world, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is shaping up to be the next action RPG you put countless hours in to. Unfortunately, the game has been delayed countless times, but that doesn’t stop us from being excited. It looks like for sure this will be the year we get to lay on hands on the long awaited RPG. With its intense combat system, beautifully stunning graphics, and a dark and interesting story, what more is there to ask for.
5. The Legend of Zelda Wii U

The Legend of Zelda series is without a doubt one of the greatest in gaming, so there is no surprise that we are excited for the upcoming Zelda title. Eiji Aonuma has stated before that they intend to give players more freedom on how to encounter the game, and that there will be a gigantic world to explore, with dungeons and temples which can be entered in any order. This is the Zelda game we have all been waiting for.
4. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

If you’re a PlayStation 3 owner, you know that the Uncharted trilogy last-gen was one of the best in gaming. Filled with action-packed sequences, a great story, and superb gameplay, heading into 2015, we’re wondering how Naughty Dog can top it with Uncharted 4. The story is set years after the events of Uncharted 3, and Nathan Drake finds himself back hunting for treasure. With the game’s title hinting the end of a thief, we have one question in mind – will Drake die? We’re looking forward to finding out.
3. Bloodborne

If you were a fan of Demon’s Souls or Dark Souls, then you will definitely be excited for PS4 exclusive Bloodborne. Developed by From Software, Bloodborne will have everything you loved about its predecessors: Punishing hard difficulty, intense gameplay, and epic boss fights, but adds a different setting with a quicker and fast-paced combat system. That rewarding feeling when you beat a boss or reach a bonfire, we’re hoping to experience that again with Bloodborne.
2. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
httpvh://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssWgwIl-7ss
We already had our first taste of Metal Gear Solid V when Ground Zeroes was released in early 2014. It was a prelude of what’s to come. Great storytelling, excellent stealth gameplay, and beautiful graphics – we personally thought Ground Zeroes was one of the best looking games in 2014. But The Phantom Pain will give us an open world to explore, which will be the first for the franchise. Previous Metal Gear Solid games are considered to be some of the greatest games of all time, we expect the fifth installment in the series to be just as good.
1. Batman: Arkham Knight
httpvh://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pO2_iUkojCY
Which is supposedly the last in the series, Arkham Knight is shaping up to be the best one yet. The story is intriguing, the graphics look spectacular, and the open world will be five times larger than in the last main game. With the addition of the Batmobile, which you can eject from any time during the gameplay, there is no reason not to be excited for the upcoming Batman game. Arkham City was no doubt one of the best games last-gen, and Arkham Knight looks like it’s going to be bigger and better. That’s why it’s our most anticipated game of 2015.
I hope you enjoyed the list. Don’t hesitate to leave your most anticipated games of 2015 down below in the comments. We all have different games we are excited for, but there is no doubt we can all agree that 2015 is shaping out to be one of the best years in gaming.
