Action RPG Title Aggelos Coming To Console This Year
One of the fun things that developers are doing nowadays is making games in the style of classic titles from the 8-bit or 16-bit eras, yet then making them better via modern game mechanics. One of the best titles of the bunch to do this is Aggelos, an Action RPG that is available now on Steam, but is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch later this year.
Aggelos looks like a game from the 16-bit arcade era, but it plays like an RPG from the modern day, and it features many things that the 16-era titles could only dream up. You play as a warrior determined to protect his kingdom from an invasion of monsters from other dimensions. You’ll travel across the lands in a non-linear story in order to beat them, and make yourself stronger in the process. The game is inspired by the Japanese title Wonder Boy in Monster Land, and does a great job of making a style fresh and new again.
To refresh, the game is available now on Steam. But it will arrive on consoles later this year. You can read more of the features and see the trailer for the game below.
