Actor Walton Goggins Confirms Role In New Tomb Raider Movie
Walton Goggins (The Shield, Justified) has announced he’s joining the cast of Hollywood’s next Tomb Raider film — which will be a reboot that stars Alicia Vikander as the iconic Lara Croft. If you can’t tell by the photo, he’s going to be the bad guy — a rival raider who tries to trip Lara up. Some people just have a mug for villainous roles.
Goggins announced his inclusion in the film to his Instagram followers, by tweeting his copy of the script under a fedora off-camera.
Oh, what have you done, you fool? You’ve tweeted a script image with a front page of such thin stock that we can see the first page of the movie’s script below it! Not with the naked eye, but with assistance. Booting up Photoshop:
Is it clearer now? Here’s the bits we can make out…..

We’ve gathered nothing earth-shattering from that, but we do know the movie opens with Lara learning how to box. So that’s something. The new Tomb Raider movie currently has no release date, but they’re shooting for somewhere within 2018.

I wonder why they didn't hire Angelina Jolie to play the lead role again this time? Maybe because she's too old already? Or maybe the producers can't afford her talent fee anymore? I have watched the first Tomb Raider film, but I didn't really like it. In fact, I got bored watching it. So I'm not really too keen on this upcoming movie.
