Alan Wake DLC Now Free on Xbox Marketplace
With the release of Quantum break, it seems Xbox and Remedy Entertainment are in a giving mood. The two pieces of DLC for Alan Wake are now available for free on the Xbox Marketplace. You can get them now for free at that link.
The free DLC for the game includes Alan Wake: The Writer and Alan Wake: The Signal, which were both story add-ons for Alan Wake. While both pieces of DLC were made for the Xbox 360, they are now playable on the Xbox One through backwards compatibility, along with the main game version, which currently costs $19.99. It’s unknown how long the free DLC deal will last.
So while there does not seem to be a long-awaited sequel for Alan Wake anywhere in sight, at least fans can enjoy the original and the DLC releases for Alan Wake on the Xbox One console. There is an Alan Wake-related Easter egg that can be found in Quantum Break. It references “RETURN,” which is the name of a manuscript that can be found in the DLC Alan Wake’s American Nightmare. That might give fans some hope of a possible franchise return.
Remedy Entertainment just released Quantum Break, which is available now for Xbox One and Windows 10.
