The Amazing Spider-Man is coming to Vita, according to the ESRB
In the ESRB’s weekly email update the listing for The Amazing Spider-Man has been changed to include a PS Vita version.
The email actually details seven new entries for The Amazing Spider-man however the reason for these new entries is given as “Change Value of Platforms from PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox 360 to PlayStation 3, PS Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360.” which seems to imply that the new Vita version is a direct port of the console version which launched in June 2012.
The ESRB charges for ratings and very rarely changes listings or adds new ones without good reason, so we can assume that this Vita version is happening despite not yet being confirmed by Activision (the publisher of the console version). The updated version of the listing can be seen below, courtesy of IGN.
We will be sure to update the story if/when the game is officially confirmed by Activision, but in the meantime why not take a look at the massive list of new indie games coming to the Vita, or the new Vita itself.
