An Update On Battle Princess Madelyn
So Battle Princess Madelyn missed its Early 2018 release window, but it still looks great and this new gameplay video shows off the extra months of work.
Originally funded on Kickstarter last year, Battle Princess Madelyn is a hard-as-nails retro sidescroller in the spirit of Ghosts and Goblins and other such titles. There’s an actual Madelyn out there — a 7-year-old was involved in the creation of this game and inserted a royal version of herself into this fantasy world.
But now she’s not alone. The July 2018 update from the creators reveals someone will be joining her on various points of the mission: Maldita Castilla’s Don Ramiro! …..We have no idea who that is either!
Only Google had the answer, and it was buried under several reports about this very game. It would appear Maldita Castilla was another sidescroller that came out in 2016 and Ramiro was its main character. The game didn’t catch on, evidently. But Ramiro now has a second chance at the spotlight….
Developer Casual Bit Games will only say Battle Princess Madelyn will be available eventually. There is no new release window, but when it’s finished, you’ll own at least one machine that plays it: there will be versions for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PS Vita, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii U (not a typo) and PC.
