Another Reason Supergiant Games are Awesome (Besides Bastion)
If you’ve played Bastion by Supergiant Games then you already have one reason to love the developer. If you haven’t shame on you, it’s the only game I’ve ever given a perfect score. Go play it, I’ll wait. Done? Wasn’t that awesome? Now you have another reason to love Supergiant Games, turns out their pretty cool people.
A soldier, currently fighting for our freedom to play fantastic games like Bastion, had emailed Supergiant Games to ask if their would ever be a retail release. Currently the title is only available via download and due to the soldier being in Afghanistan and internet prices being so absurd as well as service being horribly slow, he couldn’t download the title. Greg Kasavin, who just happens to be the writer and designer of the game, responded back to him stating that he would indeed send him a physical copy if he would just download the copy from Steam when he got home.
I’m assuming on weekends Greg Kasavin and the rest of the folks from Supergiant Games save puppies and eliminate threats to world safety while riding dinosaurs that have guns attached to them that fire sharks. That or they are working on Bastion 2, which is equally as pure and awesome.
It’s nice to see developers help out a gamer, and a defender of our liberties. Support them by buying Bastion on XBLA, Steam or Google Chrome Games.
