Apple TV Will Feature Guitar Hero Live, Skylanders SuperChargers and More
During today’s special Apple conference, Apple and Activision announced that Apple TV will have video game support later this fall. This includes Guitar Hero Live, Skylanders SuperChargers and Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved. What does this mean? Gamers will be able to play all these games at home in their living rooms with Apple TV, while also being able to take them on the go with iPhone or iPad. In addition, you can even take Guitar Hero Live on the go with the Bluetooth Guitar controller, which works on iOS devices.
Speaking on Guitar Hero Live making the transition to Apple TV and iOS, FreeStyleGames co-studio head and creative director Jamie Jackson stated: “We jumped at the opportunity to bring back Guitar Hero in a cool new way with Guitar Hero Live and have been energized by the response from fans who have had a chance to play it so far. We can’t wait for the game to launch next month and think people are going to get a kick out of living their rock star fantasy on consoles, mobile devices and Apple TV this fall. It’s going to be rad!”
Exact launch dates have not yet been revealed for the games on Apple TV, but Guitar Hero Live is due out on October 20 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo’s Wii U. Skylanders SuperChargers hits all platforms on September 20.
