4A games and Oculus Studios have released ARKTIKA.1, a new VR action shooter for the Oculus Rift.
Backstory is that a man-made ice age called the Great Freeze has put the existence of the human race at risk, and it hasn’t been helped at all by the emergence of mutant cannibals and packs of barbaric raiders. Your goal as a hired mercenary is to protect one of the last human colonies from these hunters.
Yevhen Fedorets, lead game designer at 4A, says “We spent quite a bit of time perfecting the core gameplay mechanics in ARKTIKA.1. From the weapon selection and customization options to the advanced node-based teleportation system, everything in the game supports immersion and storytelling. We can’t wait to hear from Oculus fans who are about to experience the world of ARKTIKA.1 for the very first time!”
ARKTIKA.1 is now available for the Oculus Rift for $29.99, but there’s more. To find out additional info about the story behind the world the game is set in, try the new book ARKTIKA.1: My Name is Viktoria, which is 99 cents at Amazon.
