Ashbourne Launches On Steam Greenlight
Ashbourne, a third person action role playing game set in an immersive medieval world, based in 15th century England and developed by Endemic Interactive, has launched on Steam Greenlight, getting a new trailer as well as a number of new screenshots. You can watch the trailer for the game below.
According to Endemic Interactive, in the game, you take on the role of Alexander Marshal, a knight of the Endewyn empire, which is one of the smallest of the six established empires within Ashbourne. Players will lead the Endewyn empire to victory in battles against much larger empires, taking over their land, wiping out their armies and anything else that dares to stand in their way. Ashbourne contains a very fluid combat system which will allow players to deliver fatal attacks to enemies, using an array of weapons. The combat system features both long-range and short-range weapons, the likes of which features anything from longbows to maces, giving players the choice of combat style they feel most comfortable with.
Ashbourne features an in-depth back story which brings to lights the history of the land in trade and in combat. Each empire has a unique role in Ashbourne‘s history and throughout the game, players will uncover unique artifacts which will further detail the story of Endewyn.
As players make their way through the Ashbourne world, they will be faced with decisions which will alter the path that they walk. With a multi-choice dialogue and quest system tied directly into a loyalty and respect system, players will gain and lose respect from empires based on their actions. NPCs will treat you very differently depending on your respect levels. Respect levels can allow players to get discounted goods from merchants and be a trusted figure throughout the land, or they could make you a wanted target. You can find the game on Steam Greenlight here.
