Battlefield 3 : Lots of DLC content on its way, and screenshots released for Back to Karkand.
DICE have declared their intent to release multiple DLC packs for Battlefield 3, and have just released screenshots of the new upcoming DLC pack Back to Karkand to whet our appetites.
DICE’s new DLC pack for BF3, Back to Karkand is due to be released sometime in December and is promised to be the first in an array of add-ons for the brand new modern combat FPS. According to EA’s Frank Gibeau, in a conference call with investors yesterday EA revealed that Battlefield 3 has an “aggressive downloadable content plan”. He also added that “Our plans over the next 6 months is to have a very robust set of expansion packs past on Strike at Karkand and that we think the community’s going to be very, very excited about.”
So far the Back to Karkand DLC is the only one announced and will be provided free to all those who purchased the Limited Edition of Battlefield 3. Those who did not pre-order the limited edition will be able to purchase Back to Karkand as an expansion pack for $15. It promises to have maps of Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula, plus 3 new vehicles, 10 weapons and other assorted extras.
