Battlefield Hardline Will Be Available In EA Access Next Month
EA has today revealed that their subscription service EA Access will be receiving a brand new game in the Vault in October. Battlefield Hardline, the latest game in the franchise, will join its predecessor Battlefield 4 from next month, though the publisher hasn’t given any details on what exact date the title will be available from. The game has only been available since March, meaning that it will only have been at retail for five months before its inclusion in EA Access.
Battlefield Hardline was a major shift for the series, as it moved a military setting to a police-themed adventure. It was created by Dead Space developer Visceral Games rather than DICE and was heavily themed around the idea of cops versus robbers. It seems to be a strategy that has paid off well so far for the franchise.
EA Access first launched in August of 2014. The Xbox One exclusive service costs $4.99/£3.99 a month and gives users access to a variety of EA titles that they can download and play without any limits while their subscription is up to date. There are currently 14 titles available in the Vault, including Madden NFL 15, Titanfall, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Peggle 2, Need for Speed Rivals and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.
