Bears Vs. Babies: From The Makers Of Exploding Kittens
Have you ever had one of those days when you just feel like eating babies? I know I have. Perhaps you’re feeling that way right now. In that case, you’ll be pleased to know about Bears vs. Babies, the upcoming card game by Matthew Inman (The Oatmeal) and Elan Lee (Exploding Kittens).
Bears vs. Babies is a card game where you build a deck of monsters for the expressed purpose of devouring babies. Players sit in a circle and take turns around the table drawing cards, of which there are two varieties: monsters (mostly bears) and babies. The bears have freaky mad-science bodies which you must assemble from cards with random parts on them. If you draw a baby from the deck, it must go into the middle of the table….this act creates the army you’ll be tasked with defeating later.
The babies won’t attack, however, unless provoked to. That requires the play of a Provoke card by one of the players. Once they’re aware and angry, they won’t stop, and you’d better hope you’re prepared. You win if your monster is stronger than the number of babies that attacks it. While playing, you can get ahead of your teammates by Provoking babies when they’re not ready.
The game ends when there are no more babies, and the player that’s eaten the most of them wins.
Bears vs. Babies is still in development, but you can crowdfund it today. The Kickstarter has a little over eight days left at the time of this writing. You know you want to…..
