Bethesda taking legal action against Minecraft creator
In an article written by IGN, Notch expressed some concerns about the recent legal action that Bethesda appears to be taking against him. The issue stems from Bethesda’s opinion that Notch is infringing on an existing trademark. Notch’s latest project which is titled “Scrolls” has received the attention of Bethesda’s lawyers.
This all seems rather absurd, and could even be more disheartening for the industry if Bethesda ends up pursuing and winning the lawsuit. Someone should tell SEGA to sue Bethesda over using the game name RAGE. Sound ridiculous? Yeah, we think so.

This is absurd… I would understand if Notch’s game was called “Elder Scrolls” but simply “Scrolls”? That isnt your trademark, Bethesda.

I agree. Come on Scrolls is such a general word.
