Black Panther Movie Plot Revealed?
Though much of the Black Panther movie seemed to be set up in Age of Ultron and Civil War, especially in regards to the characters and the mystique of Wakanda, not much has been given detail wise about what the film itself will be about. Until now.
Lupita Nyongo talked to Entertainment Weekly and “accidentally” revealed some key aspects of the film. First, she revealed that her character Nakia, is a member of the Dora Milaje (the Panther’s elite female bodyguards), which are pulled straight from the comics.
Then, she went straight into the overall plot:
“The story is that Black Panther’s leadership is being threatened by two foes that come together, and so Black Panther gets the help of the CIA and the Dora Milajei to try to defeat the enemy,” Nyong’o said. “Oh dear. Someone is going to fire me shortly. I have to shut up now.”
This brief synopsis clicks with what we do know about the film, mainly in terms of the casting. Michael B. Jordan has been cast as Kilmonger, a longtime Black Panther villain. And Ulysses Klaww has already been introduced in Age of Ultron, and is likely to be the big bad here.
Furthermore, the CIA reference may be a shoutout to bringing back Martin Freeman’s character Everett Ross, who debuted in Civil War.
We’ll find out more as we head toward Black Panther’s 2017 release.
