The Blitz Twister Cup Commences Saturday
The city of Minsk, located in Belarus, will be playing host to the “Blitz Twister Cup.” Wargaming, makers of the popular mobile game World of Tanks, is holding a world tournament based around their product, with cash prizes at stake.
At Minsk’s Prime Hall, four teams selected from four regions of the world (Russia, Europe, Asia, and North America) will be competing against each other live on World of Tanks. First place wins $15,000 (or whatever the equivalent is in their country), second place wins $8,500, third place gets $4,000 and fourth receives $2,500.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
* Two teams of 7 players
* Battle time: 7 minutes
* Battle mode: Supremacy
* Interval between battles: 2 minutes
* Mobile devices only
* Battle format: Best of 3
* Final match: Best of 7
* Double elimination matches
* Maps will be chosen by drawing lots
