When it was revealed that legendary comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis was leaving Marvel Comics to work for DC Comics, the internet basically broke. Not the least of which was because Bendis was attached to many projects that were to help shape the new “Marvel Legacy” banner, with one of the big ones being Iron Man. Even going so far as to say that he was going to make “the biggest Iron Man story ever”.

Yet, with his departure, will that still happen? And what of his other characters? Well, in a post on Twitter, Brian Michael Bendis said this:

“I am overjoyed to tell you that the insanely classy & cool @TomBrevoort & @nick_lowe_ are making this transition with such grace and have generously allowed me final moments with all of our favorite characters. setting them up for the next big chapter. Stay tune for announcements”

This is definitely good news, as there’s nothing worse for comic fans than to hear that someone is leaving right in the middle of an arc. And hopefully Bendis will get the chance to finish what he starts before endeavoring on with DC Comics. But when can we expect the news? Well, hopefully very soon.
