Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Details
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 had a bit of a slip earlier this morning when the game’s website went live hours before the title was meant to be announced later tonight.
The game’s site revealed that the title will be set in the near future in a war-torn Los Angeles. The site proclaims that the new launch will push “the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise.” As for the setting and weaponry, the site says that the Black Ops sequel “propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare.”
The title looks like it is set for release on November 13, 2012. The first trailer is set to debut at 6:30 P.M. PST today. The website teased the trailer with a screenshot of a helicopter (shown above) flying over a torn city skyline, which is assumed to be Los Angeles. The title will release for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Look out for an official announcement of the title later today along with the relaunch of the site, which since has been shut down.

Looks like I’m buying a new CoD for the first time in a while. Always wanted a futuristic setting and CoD with Mechs sounds fine by me. Hopefully Treyarch goes the World at War route and there will be some larger maps with Mechs available for use outside of killstreaks.
