Darksiders: The Scalding Gallow Collector's Edition Revealed
THQ Nordic a special online store exclusive version for Darksiders Warmastered Edition. This is The Scalding Gallow, which is a special one-of-a-kind collector’s edition for the game. It arrives this week for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A PC version will be released later on November 29. THQ Nordic has also confirmed a Wii U version that’s currently in development, which will be revealed later.
The release is parter of a partnership release with the Green Man Gaming online store for the UK. The set features a premium item, The Scalding Gallow Horse stable. The mobile unit measures 10.8 x 3.6m, includes a tack room with floor, a 3m x 3.6m haybarn and two 3m x 3.6 stables that can house two phantom horses. Meanwhile, the outside of the unit is emblazoned with Darksiders artwork and logos.
This edition is available only for the UK-based Green Man Gaming store, and it’s going to cost a pretty penny. The price for this set will run anyone who wants to buy it £66,600. The set also includes the game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Wii U as well as the respective consoles, i.e. the PlayStation 4 Pro, the Xbox One S, the Nintendo Wii U, and an Alienware Area-51 top-of-the-line gaming PC rig.
Speaking on the special release, THQ Nordic’s Nik Blower stated: “A horse stable collector’s edition makes perfect sense for a game that stars War, the first Horseman of the Apocalypse. Whilst the bespoke unit is built to withstand the demands of most phantom horses, Darksiders Warmastered Edition ‘The Scalding Gallow’ will also serve just as well as a home for less apocalyptic breeds.”
