Death Stranding: Hideo Kojima Shares Release Details
During a recent Q&A session at the Tokyo Game Show, Hideo Kojima of Kojima Productions (via IGN), revealed some new details on the highly anticipated Hideo Kojima game, Death Stranding. This new game marks the Kojima’s first project since his separation from Konami, the publishers of the Metal Gear Solid series. Kojima also shared some details on the company’s official Twitter account.
Death Stranding was first announced at E3 earlier this year. Kojima recently revealed that the game will be released before the Olympic Games in Tokyo as well as before the new Akira. The Olympic Games, set for Tokyo, Japan, are going to be held in 2020. A new live-action Akira movie will likely arrive in 2019. That could likely put the game’s release somewhere in 2019-2020.
According to Kojima, the game does have a set release date, and it will feature a “new form of co-op play but will of course be fully playable in single player.” The Walking Dead TV series star Norman Reedus is set to appear in the game in a starring role. Mads Mikkelsen is working on the game as well.
Death Stranding already seems to be picking up steam. Hopefully, the wait will be worth it, and Kojima delivers something really special and imaginative as he often does with his projects.
